The representatives of Fund “Safe Ukraine 2030” took part in CEDAR project kick-off meeting

On January 30-31, 2024, in the city of Termi (a suburb of Thessaloniki, Greece), representatives of Fund “Safe Ukraine 2030” took part in CEDAR project kick-off meeting (Common European Data Spaces and Robust AI for Transparent Public Governance), the implementation of which has begun with the support of EU HORIZON program.





Olena Sukmanova, a member of the Supervisory Board of Fund “Safe Ukraine 2030” presented the organization and its role within the consortium. In particular, Fund "Safe Ukraine 2030" team will provide analytical support for the implementation of the project in terms of ensuring the development of proposals for legislative regulation in Ukraine with the aim of implementing the project's developments and their further scaling.


Key Project goals: 


  1. Identify, collect, generate, harmonise, align, protect, and share new large-scale, high-quality, high-value datasets relevant for increasing transparency and accountability of public governance in Europe.

  2. Build and improve methods and tools for effective data management and machine learning (ML) operations (DataOps, MLOps) that facilitate efficient, scalable, automated, and trustworthy management of open data spaces, especially in the context of ensuring and fostering transparent public governance.

  3. Develop new data analytics and machine learning methods for robust, data-efficient, humancentric, and well-informed decision making, following the Quintuple Helix Innovation Model.

  4.  Validate and promote CEDAR results with relevant public and private stakeholders and generate great positive, direct, tangible, and immediate impacts on the European economy, society, and environment.


Fund “Safe Ukraine 2030” is one of 31 participants of the consortium, among the following:

• 9 recognized research institutions and universities;

• 12 companies developing in the field of technology and business;

• 7 public end users (state authorities);

• 3 non-governmental organizations related to the industry.


In Ukraine, the project will be focused on the development of an automated system of anti-corruption verification of business partners (contractors) by authorized anti-corruption employees of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine as a part of the implementation of post-war reconstruction projects in Ukraine.


Fund "Safe Ukraine 2030" is part of a team of non-EU countries together with four other Ukrainian partners, namely:
